Laura Varsky
Diseñadora gráfica egresada con honores de la Universidad de Buenos Aires con posgrado en FLACSO en Gestión y política en cultura y comunicación.Se ha especializado en el diseño de discos y libros. En el año 2006 se adjudicó el Premio Grammy Latino como Directora de Arte, galardón para el que también fue nominada en 2014, 2015 y 2018 entre otros reconocimientos. Cabe destacar el Premio a la excelencia de la Communication Arts en 2015 y el segundo premio nacional en la categoría diseño otorgado por el Fondo Nacional de las Artes en 2018. En paralelo, su interés por el desarrollo de distintos lenguajes gráficos y la búsqueda de uno propio la han acercado al mundo de la ilustración, terreno en el que ha alcanzado diversas distinciones como el prestigioso premio chileno Amster Coré. Hoy en día se especializa en la ilustración aplicada a productos siendo miembro fundadora del colectivo de artistas y diseñadores de superficies “With love from Argentina”. Laura es autora y coautora de varios libros ilustrados: “Verdesolar” (2004),“Peleonas, mentirosas y haraganas” (2007), “Cuatro gatos negros flacos”(2011), “Lady René” (2011), “Instrucciones para tratar la melancolía” (2012),"Lo que el viento me dejó" (2012), “200 Años de Monstruos y Maravillas Argentinas” (2015), “Nidos que arrullan” (2017) y “El Álbum” (2019). Su trabajo ha sido publicado por editoriales de diversos países y forma parte de la colección permanente de diseño del Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires así como de la Fundación IDA, Investigación en Diseño Argentino. Es co-directora del posgrado Programa de Actualización en Ilustración Profesional de la Universidad de Buenos Aires y ha sido parte de la enseñanza de grado durante más de 10 años en la misma institución. Brinda conferencias y workshops en distintos países.Ha participado del armado de las Jornadas Profesionales para Ilustradores de la Feria del Libro de Buenos Aires, ha organizado el Encuentro Internacional de Ilustración - MICA 2015 y es parte de la colectiva de diseño con mirada de género Hay Futura.

He gives conferences and workshops in different countries.He has participated in the assembly of the Professional Conference for Illustrators of the Buenos Aires Book Fair, has organized the International Encounter of Illustration- MICA 2015 and is part of the Hay Futura design collective with a gender perspective.
