Flanbé. Artist Books as editorial practice.

Flanbé is an independent publishing house based in Buenos Aires dedicated to artist books. Founded by Jimena Passadore, the project began as a way of editing and publishing her own work.

Each Flanbé publication is conceived as a portable exhibition: delicate and carefully crafted pieces inspired by artists’ notebooks and working processes. The editions explore the relationships between image, writing, sequence, materiality, and form, understanding the book not only as a finished object, but also as a space for research, experimentation, and expansion.

The publishing house produces limited editions of 100 to 300 signed copies and currently features a catalogue of 26 titles. Through its publications, Flanbé connects Latin American artists with the world, fostering ongoing exchanges and dialogues within the artistic community.
